Background

Ted Roe is a seasoned business and intellectual property attorney with nearly three decades of experience helping companies, founders, investors, and creative professionals build, grow, and protect successful enterprises. He advises clients at every stage of the business lifecycle—guiding new ventures through formation and governance, supporting established companies with capital raises and commercial transactions, and navigating complex regulatory and compliance landscapes.

As outside counsel to businesses across a wide range of industries, Ted provides

practical, strategic advice on entity structuring, contracts, securities compliance,

employment issues, and shareholder relations. He is also an experienced litigator

who has represented companies and individuals in high-stakes partnership and

minority shareholder disputes, contract conflicts, fiduciary claims, and industry-

specific regulatory matters.

Ted’s business law practice is strengthened by his extensive intellectual property

background. He has filed more than 1,000 trademark and copyright applications

and has successfully resolved numerous high-profile infringement disputes. His

ability to integrate business strategy with IP protection allows clients to develop,

commercialize, and safeguard the assets that drive long-term value.

Ted has represented clients nationwide and businesses from more than 30 foreign countries, appearing in Oregon courts and jurisdictions across the United States. Clients appreciate his practical, solutions-focused approach and his ability to make complex legal issues clear, manageable, and actionable.
